Melinda Rouille, MSW, joins
the staff at the VA Vet Center in South Burlington
Melinda began working at the VA Vet Center in South Burlington
starting on November 21, providing services to eligible combat and
conflict Veterans and their families, covering a wide range of
psychosocial needs, including education, employment, housing,
medical treatment, voc ational
rehabilitation, personal and family adjustments and legal needs.
Some of the responsibilities include planning and conducting
readjustment counseling, outreach and follow up. This includes
presenting and discussing clinical activities and philosophy of the
readjustment counseling service with other professionals and members
of the community, state and federal agencies. Melinda says of her
new post, "As a veteran myself with two sons that have had multiple
tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, I have a keen interest in providing
caring and thoughtful services to those that have served."
Congratulations, Melinda! [Melinda is a member of the NASW-VT Board
and serves as Treasurer-Elect.]
