The Target Audience

NASW-VT is one of 56 chapters affiliated with the National Association of Social Workers, an organization with approximately 150,000 members. NASW-VT membership numbers approximately 525 and represents the interests of professionally trained social workers in the State of Vermont and advocates for positive social change.

Members are well-educated professionals who hold bachelor’s, master’s or doctoral degrees in social work. They are self-employed or employed in non-profit and government agencies, hospitals and other health care facilities, and educational institutions. They represent the largest single group providing mental health services. They live in all corners of the State of Vermont with the largest concentrations in Chittenden, Washington, Windham, and Rutland Counties. By virtue of their work, social workers are often well-connected to local resource networks.

Depending on their work settings, members may use practice management products and services, office supplies and equipment, web access and computer network installation and maintenance, answering services, insurance, bookkeeping, conference calling facilities, financial planning and accounting services, legal services, and other supports common to small businesses.

The Chapter website, www.naswvt.org, is an open website and has the potential to reach an audience of over 1000 social workers in Vermont and neighboring states.

Persons and organizations who would like to communicate with this audience about employment or services and products are encouraged to advertise

• By underwriting or sponsoring Chapter educational events.

Advertisements are subject to approval by the Executive Director and may be refused if deemed unsuitable.

Chapter Newsletter Advertising

e-New Horizons is the monthly newsletter of the Vermont Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW-VT). It is published electronically and members are notified by email when a new edition appears. Non-members may subscribe to e-New Horizons at the rate of $30 per year. Views expressed in the newsletter are those of the authors and do not necessarily represent the official position of NASW.

Issue sponsors receive a free full-page ad and a notice about their issue sponsorship on each page of the newsletter. $250.00

Newsletter: Classified ads/Website links

Classified ads run at the rate of $1.00 per word, with a minimum of 30 words, per issue. The ad may include a link to your website. This ad does not require a corresponding ad on our web site; this will only be placed in the eNew Horizons.

Newsletter: Teaser ads to Website

Teaser ads will run in eNew Horizons that will be emailed directly to our member’s inbox. These ads will represent a portion of your web ad; will include a line or two of information as well as the direct link to the ad. You can also include a link to your site if you’d like. A ‘teaser’ ad would look something like:

This advertisement will differ from the classified as it will require a ‘full screen’ web ad to correspond to it. This is also available for Continuing Ed ads and its corresponding web page. The amount space is limited to 3 lines or less than 50 +/-words. This is up to the discretion of the editor.

Newsletter ad copy deadlines

The 15th of every month, for issues to appear shortly after the 1st the next month. e.g., June 15 for July 1st issue.

The NASW-VT website is www.naswvt.org. This is an open site, not limited to members only but designed to serve the needs of members of NASW-VT and those who are interested in our work. We offer display and classified advertising at rates listed below. Employment and Job-Seeking notices are placed directly in a section where users check for positions available. Business services ads are placed in a section on Resources. Advertisements for continuing education are placed in a section on Continuing Education. The placement of other display ads should be discussed with the Chapter Coordinator.

Web ad copy deadlines

Website ads are placed within at least a week of our receiving them, but typically will be on within a day or two. Once ads are placed, we will send you an email (if address is provided) with a link to the ad for your review.

Payment

All advertisements, sponsorships and exhibits must be paid in advance by check or on-line by credit card through the website (www.naswvt.org). Make checks payable to: NASW-VT and mail to P.O. Box 1348, Montpelier, VT 05601-1348. If you require an invoice, contact the Chapter Coordinator at 802-223-1713.

Continuing Education Sponsorships and Exhibitors

NASW-VT welcomes underwriters, sponsors, and exhibitors for its program of continuing education and professional development, including the Chapter’s Annual Conference.
