First Ever Pub Night a Success! |

NASW-VT organized our first-ever Pub
Night for Newer Professional and Social Work Students for the eve of
our 2008 Annual Conference. Held at The Green Room in Burlington, we
enjoyed duck quesadillas and other goodies while we got acquainted
and talked about what drew us to social work and what sustains us.
Gary Bailey, Associate Professor at Simmons College School of Social
Work and a very active social work advocate nationally and
internationally was our special guest. UVM students who joined us
included John Harrington, Laura Stuart, Kathryn Wolfe and Sarah
Champine. There seems to be interest in creating similar
opportunities on a regular basis in Burlington. If there is someone
who could serve as a local contact, the chapter staff can provide
communication and promotion support. Please contact the chapter
office if you might be interested.
