Family Assistance Centers (5):  Family Assistance Center Specialists provide information, resources, and support to all service members and their families. The FACS are a "one stop shop."  They support military service members and their families through all cycles of deployment.

Deb Alden.  Partnership between federal government and 4-H, run through UVM extension service.  Involves military children and families with existing community organizations and resources at grassroots level.

Veterans and Family Outreach Team
A Vermont pilot program created in 2007 to help veterans and their families. Everyone on the outreach team has served in the military, and almost all are combat veterans. They have a 24 hour resource/crisis line.

OurMilitaryKids awards grants for non-school activities up to $500.00 for children with a parent deployed overseas or severely injured in combat. Examples include sports, music lessons, Taekwondo, horseback riding, tutoring, camps and much more!  Contact your local to help a family apply!
